Release 5-0-6

We are now preparing a dedicated driver mobile app with a bunch of features (we are preparing something amazing for you, stay tuned! ).

1. Administrative task

According to the driver app which is being developed, we have added a new page called “Driver Mobile App” under the drivers’ section. this page is concerned with managing drivers’ accounts, determining their access to the mobile app, and managing the registrations assigned to them as follows:
*

  • To define a new account for a specific driver, you can click on “Plus” icon as shown in the below image.
  • Then, you can fill all information related to the driver account (email, password, access expiry date).

*

  • We give the user the ability to define “Administrative task” and assign it to a specific driver. The main objective of this task is to know some information about the vehicle or the driver, such as knowing the odometer, for example, or the condition of the wheels or some other details.
  • User will insert the following info to create new administrative task:
      1. Task title (free text) *.
      2. Description (free text).
      3. For restricted vehicle (check box: yes, no).
      4. If yes, system will ask the user to select the vehicle (so the task will be assigned to the driver when he drives the selected vehicle) *.
      5. For restricted time (check box: yes, no).
      6. If yes: system will ask the user to insert date and time range.
      7. List of questions: user can add a question by inserting the following information:
        • Question content (free text) *.
  • Answer type (Date, Number, Text, File).
After click on “Save and Send” button, system will save the task with “pending” status, and decide on the following:
      • If the task is related to driver only (restricted vehicle check box isn’t checked), system will assign the task directly to the driver and inform him by sending a push notification.

      • If the task is related to a specific vehicle, the driver will be notified of the task assigned to him once he drives the selected vehicle.

* * * User also can view driver answers in system with the following information for each task in drivers account page as the following:

        1. Task title.
        2. Description.
        3. List of questions.
        4. Questions’ answerers (if task status is “done”).
        5. Task status (pending, done).
        6. Creation date.
        7. Created by.
        8. Assigned date and time.
  1. Restricted vehicle plate number (if it is existed).

2. Maintenance Task

We updated the maintenance tasks in order to link it with the driver mobile application so that the user can define a maintenance task with all its ordinary details, but with the possibility of assigning it to a specific driver account. The driver then receives the task once the conditions are met.
In the system, we give the user the ability to select a driver account by choosing one of the following options:
* * * Current Driver (so the notification will be sent to the assigned driver on this vehicle to resolve the task when it becomes due).

* Specific Driver (so the user will select specific driver(s) to be notified and resolve the task when it becomes due).

To get advantage of this feature, go to maintenance tasks section
* * * Add new maintenance task: we added a new step called “Select Driver” in order to assign the task to a specific driver account or to the current driver as shown on the following image:

* * * Edit an already exist maintenance task: a new icon for the drivers’ accounts is added under the “Edit” column.
