Release 6.4.13

In this release, we introduce a new module and some enhancements.

  1. Passenger Module:

We are thrilled to announce the new module concerning passenger rides. The main purpose of this module is to track how many passengers along with their IDs the vehicle has on each trip. Moreover, the module provides two new explorers dedicated to passengers’ info tracking (time, location, duration, and distance). The pillar of this module to work properly is the RFID key that the passenger should use to be recognized by the system.

Now, to get advantage of this module, you need to do some setup first, then everything will be available automatically.

  1. First of all, the company admin should assure that the company has the “passenger” license/module.

  2. Once the company has the module, company admin is free to assign the module to the target vehicle(s).

  3. Then, the module configurations should be set.

a. Configurations: here you can choose whether you need the system to insert a new passenger in the system upon receiving an ID that is not amongst the already added passengers’ IDs. You can also set the criteria at which the system will consider the passenger ride has ended. The available optoins are “ignition off” (that is when the vehicle ignites off and “trip end” (that is if the trip is closed for other reasons than ignition off).

b. Management: on this page, you can insert as many passengers as you need. You can add them one by one or import an Excel file for bulk passengers.

c. Import; here where you can customize the excel file fields that you will import, download your own template, set importing criteria, and upload your passenger excel file. For more details about this importer, you may refer to release 5.2.3

  1. Once you are done with the module configuratin, you need to set a rule for passenger data handling in the augmented arguments — as shown below:

Congratulations, you are all set!

You are good to go to track the passengers’ movement across your vehicle through the newly added explorers (controlled via “passengers” permission under the explorer permissions), and the trip report.

  • Passengers explorer: this explorer is built on a passenger basis. It shows each passenger’s name, the current vehicle that rides him/her, the ride history they got, and their card ID history.

  • Vehicle-Passenger explorer: this explorer is built on a vehicle basis. it displays the plate number of the vehicle(s) having the module along with the current passengers in each vehicle, the rides history they did, and the history of the card IDs the vehicle read.

  • Trip report: a new option to show the passengers ridden in each trip is added to trip report

  1. Feature Renaming

For more convenience, we made a small amendment to the SP-2000-related alarms/pages. From now on, all SP-2000 alarms, reports, licenses, etc. Are renamed to be “device-specific”. This is aimed at no more confusion to the user.
