Release 6.5.10
13/06/2024
In this release, we introduce a new alarm condition, and some new enhancements.
- AVL Inputs AC
We are thrilled to announce the release of a new comprehensive alarm condition that will enrich your tracking experience. The new AC targets the digital and analog inputs of the AVL (Automatic Vehicle Location) device you are using. It’s meant to monitor the DINs & AINs of your device and fire an alarm once the conditions you set are met.
Before going through the wizard steps, it’s worth reminding that this AC is controlled by a permission just like all other ACs.
The wizard consists of 6 Feature-packed steps:
- Condition name: where you can set a suitable name for your AC.
- Level: where you can select the targeted level by this AC
- Geofence: to determine whether the conditions should be met inside/outside a geofence or no matter where the vehicle is.
- Parameters : the pillar of this AC, where you can set the inputs conditions you want to monitor. This step includes the following settings as shown in the below image
- Time tolerance: the time during which it’s acceptable to meet the other conditions without firing an alarm
- gnition: select whether you want to strict the AC with one engine status
- Digital inputs: select which DIN(s) you want to monitor or leave them as “any” if you’re not targeting the digital inputs
- Analog inputs: set the voltage range out which you want the AC to fire an alarm
- Day constraint: configure whether the conditions should be met at specific day/times only.
- Notifications: set the way you want to get notified by this AC. You have a variety of choices like system notification, popup urgent message, email, mobile notification, and WhatsApp message.
- Confirmation: the final revision to your choices to confirm that you all set!
Once you have saved the wizard steps, the system takes over the task of monitoring the conditions you have set. It will trigger an alarm and notify you based on your configured settings when all the conditions are met.
- Commands Template
We are excited to bring you an advanced capability that offers increased flexibility when working with commands. With this new feature, you can now pre-define command templates and easily access them when needed.
To access the templates page, navigate to the commands tab and select “Command Templates” as shown below:
To create a template, simply click on the “Add” button and fill in the template details:
You can give it a name, select the type of command you need to pre-configure, give it an appropriate scheduler, and the needed conditions.
Now, where can you utilize these templates?
To enhance your tracking experience, we have integrated the template functionality into the command dialog on the monitoring page. This enables you to quickly send your preferred command to the target vehicle whenever required.
We have enhanced the command dialog further to provide better support for your choices. Now, not only can you immediately send any command from the monitoring page, including immobilization commands, but you also have access to all timing and conditioning features. Additionally, you can choose to save the commands you send for future reference or execute them once.
Alternatively, you can select one of your pre-defined templates for execution. Simply click on the desired template, and the system will load its settings. Then, click “Execute Command” to perform the action.
3. Enhance Communication report
Continuing our persistent improvements, we equipped the “communication report” with more advanced filters to elevate your tracking experience level. The report aims mainly to show all disconnected vehicles for a while as per your input.
You can now check the latest detailed data sent with the last message from your out-of-coverage-like vehicles. Just click on the preferred column to be shown at the report output.
- Scheduled reports enhancements
Delightedly, Introducing Monthly Scheduling and More!
We understand that some reporting needs require a monthly frequency. Now, you can easily configure the report scheduler to send reports at regular intervals every configurable month. This enables you to align your reporting cycles with your specific requirements.
The new scheduling option is added to the same scheduler dialog with the ability to be enabled and disabled as suits you. However, to ensure the accuracy and reliability of scheduled reports, we have implemented a safeguard in the scheduler. Days 29, 30, and 31 are disabled options in the monthly scheduling setting. This precautionary measure prevents any potential discrepancies that may arise when the execution coincides with the 31st day of a 30-day month.
So, tailor your reporting schedules to match your business needs, ensuring that the right information reaches the right people at the right time.
