User-Defined Properties

We enrich the user-defined properties feature to cover all system assets (driver, trailer, geo-units, and devices).

Under the management tab, you’ll find a new menu entitled “User-Defined Properties” containing 4 sub-menus as follows:

Vehicle: the same old feature of adding your defined properties to the vehicle. For more details about it, please revisit release 6.5.14
Driver: just like the vehicle properties, you can add your own defined properties for the drivers and fill their values from the driver edit popup on the drivers list page.

Geographical Units: on this page, you can add any needed properties to fill their values for each geofence as appropriate. You can fill in the property’s values for the geofences from the geographical units’ page when editing/creating the geofences

Trailer: on this page, you can add any needed properties to fill their values for each trailer as appropriate. You can fill in the property’s values for the trailers from the trailers management page when editing/creating the trailers.

✔ After setting up all needed properties, you can show them in the messages table and/or vehicle card through the attributes lists management page.

Please note the following:

Creating new asset properties is available for company admin accounts only. However, clients can still fill in the properties’ values as per their permission.
The new added properties will be shown on all relevant pages where the asset information is displayed/accessed. For example, but not limited to, on the vehicle history page (under the “i” icon). In the vehicle/driver/or any other asset explorer, on the monitoring page as mentioned earlier, etc.
