Release 6.6.8

24 Apr. 2025

Trip Report Enhancement

As part of our ongoing improvements, we’ve added a new feature to the Trip Report to make trip data easier to understand.

📰 What’s New?

You can now automatically divide long trips into smaller sub-trips based on idle time (when the vehicle is on but not moving).

  • A new setting has been added to the Trip Report input – as shown below.
  • This setting lets you choose an idle time threshold in seconds (e.g., 300 seconds = 5 minutes).
  • If the vehicle stays idle longer than this time during a trip, the system will split the trip into two parts at that point.
  • The idle time itself will not be included in any of the sub-trips.

Note:

  1. This feature only affects how trips are displayed in the report.
  2. The full trip is still recorded, but now it’s easier to see when the vehicle was actually moving.
  3. Also, invalid sub-trips (based on invalid trip rules described in Release 6.6.0) will not be counted.

📊 How It Looks in the Report

  • Each sub-trip will include the same details as the full trip (distance, time, etc.).
  • You will also see what percentage of the full trip each sub-trip represents.

This makes it easier to analyze driving patterns and understand when the vehicle was active.

We’ve improved the “Here” maps used in vehicle shareable links 🔗.

  • Now, the map can display satellite view in addition to traffic information.

This enhancement provides a better visual experience when sharing vehicle locations.
